Two things stick out to me as I ponder the year that has just come to a close. Two seeming contradictions!
- I was home more. After making the leap (what felt like off a cliff at the time) to quit my part time job at the end of January, I have spent a lot more time at home. It has been awesome. Having always felt called to minister in the home, the tension is finally gone between what is important to me and how I spent a big chunk of my time. The introvert in me is perfectly fine with this new arrangement and it gives me the chance to do cool things like make my own laundry detergent!
- I was away more. As far as I can remember, I have not traveled more in any given year than in 2015. I guess not having a job to clock in to probably helped with that! This traveling thing is something I could definitely get used to, I’ve decided. The combination of exploring new places (and food…), catching up with old friends, and spending time with my husband away from the cares of everyday life all equal some fantastic experiences. Let’s do more of this…
Thank you for reading and joining me this year! As I start to think about what 2016 looks like on this blog, could you help me?
What would you like to see more or less of here? What has been most helpful or interesting to you?
